Draft Executive Council Structure
As of June 27, 2008

In 2008 St. Philip’s adopted a new leadership style designed to empower more people to exercise responsible ministry with greater freedom.

We have made the Corporation smaller and added an Executive Council.

1.THE CORPORATION

- The Legal Body of the Parish
- Meets Monthly to review finances, plan, and attend to matters of general concern
Incumbent: Phil Bristow
Rector’s Warden (Appointed by the Incumbent), Responsible for Property Matters: Bob Clarke
Peoples’ Warden (Elected at the Annual General Vestry Meeting), Responsible for Administration and Stewardship: Cal Haverstock

2.THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

- Brings the Chairs of each broad Ministry Area together for prayer, coordination, and encouragement and to report on progress.
- Meets bi-monthly
- Made up of Ministry Area Coordinators and the Corporation

3. MINISTRY AREAS

- Each broad Ministry Area includes the activities of relevant groups in the parish and others as required to implement strategy and coordinate efforts.
- Meets on alternate months to Executive Council

4.WARDENS ADVISORY GROUP

- A Voluntary Advisory Group of interested former wardens whose wisdom and experience is invaluable.
- Meets 1-2 times per year
- Former wardens who are still involved in parish life: Judy Prentice, Mo Coulter, Jim Boehmer, Ray Levo, John Emig, Maggie Cheung, Brian Mahoney, Ewart Kingsbury, Lorna Fischer, Carol Dykeman, Greg Seale, Jack Fricker
